Painted Mountain Corn is a nutrient dense variety which was developed through cultivation of many different types of Native American heirloom corn. It has higher protein than conventionally grown corn as well as more vitamins and mineral content. Plus it's really pretty, even while it's growing!
This corn was developed to grow in a much shorter season, and colder climate than most corn varieties making it an excellent choice for northern regions and sustainable living! This corn has done very well in a cold and wet climate here at Applesnitch Farms! If you have grown this variety I would love to hear what you've done with your harvest!
