In February I was planning to go to the flower market that is held every year before 8 March, the International Women's Day. It's an event many like to go to, partly to buy flowers for family members and friends, partly to admire the flower offer.
I used to go almost every year and take photos for various reasons, one being to create postcards, posters and all kinds of thing on a platform that is offering print on demand.
It was a lot of fun to take photos from different angles, upload them and then see the products sold. It's nice to know someone has a product with your photo on it. Puzzles are my favorite and there were also cross body bags, but those are not available anymore. Birthday and greeting cards are also nice even though you can't make much off of one.
This year, with the war going n next door, I was not in the mood to go to the flower market. Instead I went to the hypermarket to buy hygiene products and canned food for the refugees. It seemed the right thing to do.
I was looking into my flower photo folders, to see what I was missing and saw these flower photos that I took in 2019 and have never posted them. When there's such an event, there are so many flowers and photos taken, that it's impossible to post them all.
Which is good in a way as now I can enjoy them and share them with you. Today I'd like to send these flowers to my dear friend @zirochka, who's in Kiev, living with shelling every day. I know these flowers won't make her happier as it's not flowers she needs, but let's hope I can make her smile for a minute.
This is made of paper and dry flowers, which would not be my favorite usually, but I still like it a lot. I guess the vase and the color combination makes it so special.
These baskets are made of mixed flowers, all in pots, so there's no risk you lose them after the lowers wither. You can take good care of them and fill the basket again next year.
These were actually cute. Simple and elegant. One tulip in each pot, decorated with grass and packed in brown paper like package. The whole thing looks so natural.
I'm ten days late with my flower parade and really missed the real one as I did not go to the market. I'm hoping next year me and everyone else on the planet can have a normal International Women's Day and we can celebrate with joy and happiness. I hope everyone will be able to enjoy the event, without exception.
