Okay guys, so if you have kept up with my posts then you have probably arrived at the conclusion that I am less than the best when it comes to all things modern technology has brought us, whether it be smartphones, computers, or cars that drives themselves, I'm out of my league. (Though, not this out of my league thankfully...)

One of the things that has escaped my knowledge thus far has to do with steemit (well, I'm sure there is plenty about steemit I still don't know). You see, while looking to see what my voting power is, I came across 30 unused votes for "witnesses." Not sure what they are or do, or who I should vote for, or if I should vote at all.

I know someone I follow talks about witnesses a lot, or at least used to, but I don't recall who it is.

Sorry for that whomever you are. But, here is the thing. I assume witnesses are at least somewhat important, and it may be that I'm derelict in my steemian duty by not casting a vote. So, if you know what witnesses do, let me know, and if you know who good witnesses are, drop some names and tell me why they deserve a vote. Don't be afraid to speak on your own behalf either.
