Greetings, everyone!
Truth be told, people only care about you when you do something for them, and there is nothing like unconditional love or care in this life. Give them something, you see that their attention will be drawn to you, why? Because you gave them something they couldn't afford, and this is conditional care or love.
People love because of what you can do for them, offer them, teach them, and the way you speak, money, business, idea, and more so. Scripturally this is not the way God said we should love. Our love for people shouldn't be attached to something we have received or offered. It should be unconditional, just like Jesus Christ died for us unconditionally. He loves us the way we are, good or bad. He sees and loves that way.
I can vividly say that the only people who care about me are my biological parents, my siblings, and a few uncles and aunties, if you call them. If you need something, that's when they can support you. But you see, my parents care about me, whether I do something good or bad, they would always come to be sure I'm fine and good. For this, I'm very sure my parents care about me. They care about my well-being, financial status, marital life, my business, my academics and my health and they pray for me everyday.
For others, I don't care if people care about me or not. I give what I have to give, and my mind is off there; I don't know whether they care or not. I don't have to wait for people's validation about caring for me. I don't do that. I do what I can and go my way.
I don't chase people who care about the people who don't care either, and I don't chase them.
I chase my peace, dignity, and something tangible.
