You may think that the smile is part of the silence, but it is not, even though we do not say any words, the smile is a corporal expression that speaks for itself.
Many times I have been spoken to with a smile without mentioning the sound of a word, and other times I have been made to understand with silence, that in the same way without needing any word, smile and silence are two magical corporal expressions that manage to transmit many things more than hundreds of words.
I have no doubt that silence and smile are great tools in our lives, if we know how to use them, a smile can solve problems, and silence allows us to avoid it.
So, although both expressions do not require words, they are effective at the moment of resolving personal conflicts, we cannot always walk between smiles and silence.
There are words that hurt more than silence, but there are others that are more powerful than a smile and silence together, the key is to know when we should use a smile, keep silent or say the right words.
When we are sure that our words can hurt, it is better to keep silent, then we can respond with a smile to prepare us with words of sanity or wisdom, so we can live in greater harmony.
