Happy week, dear friends of Hive Open Mic

Greetings to everyone! I'm @encuentro, Diego López 💥 and I'm very happy to be here and share with you another 👍 week full of music and feeling.

This week's theme is "Love at First Sight," and I want to contribute with a song that I really like: "The Happiness of a Thinker," by the great Venezuelan singer-songwriter Don Reynaldo Armas. This piece speaks precisely about that spark many of us have felt at times, that love that is born with just one look.

Reynaldo Armas is an icon of our llanera music. In the 1980s, his style made a big difference. Although his voice wasn't as powerful as other llanero singers from that golden era, he managed to give his songs a unique style. That special way of interpreting led him to gain recognition both inside and outside Venezuela.

Many of us grew up listening to his beautiful songs, and even today they still move us. "The Happiness of a Thinker" is a clear example of how love can come unexpectedly, touch our soul, and change our life. I would like to take this opportunity to cordially and respectfully greet @auelitairene, who kindly told me that she really likes these songs because of her beloved father.

Feliz semana, queridos amigos de Hive Open Mic

¡Saludos a todos! Soy @encuentro, Diego López 💥 y me alegra mucho estar por aquí y compartir con ustedes una nueva 👍semana llena de música y sentimiento.

El tema de esta semana es "Amores a primera vista", y quiero aportar con una canción que me gusta mucho: "La felicidad de un pensador", del gran cantautor venezolano Don Reynaldo Armas. Esta pieza habla justamente de ese flechazo que muchos hemos sentido algunas veces, ese amor que nace con tan solo una mirada.

Reynaldo Armas es un ícono de nuestra música llanera. En los años 80, su estilo marcó una gran diferencia. Aunque su voz no era tan potente como la de otros llaneros de esa época de oro, supo darle un estilo único a sus canciones. Esa forma tan especial de interpretar lo llevó a conquistar posición dentro y fuera de Venezuela.

Muchos de nosotros crecimos escuchando sus bonitos temas, y aún hoy nos emocionan. "La felicidad de un pensador" es una muestra de cómo el amor puede llegarnos sin avisar, tocarnos el alma y cambiarnos la vida. Aprovecho la ocasion de saludar cordialmente y con respeto a @auelitairene quien gentilmente me comentó que le gustan mucho estás canciones por su querido padre.
