Because of AI, knowledge has become like sand. It is very difficult to mislead people these days. The moment you say something, people are already asking their AI that question to verify it's authenticity and it's beautiful.
Apart from knowledge there are many other things that we can use AI to do, personally, I see the invention of AI as a miracle.
What can AI not do? Unless one doesn't know the right prompt to use, it can bring to accomplishment any instructions that is assigned to it.
But we all know that some people are specialized in finding the negative side of everything and taking advantage of it.
AI is just like the Internet, there is no limit to the answers or information it can give. Even though there are certain information that are protected from a certain age range yet, it's not a reliable solution to protecting them.
With the AI, one can have any information they want. AI just needs you to think and bring your ideas and it will give it life.
Where the problem lies is that not everyone thinks good, all some people think is evil. They are just looking for the available opportunities to please their interests regardless of what others will go through.
It's a sad reality that some people use AI to generate bad content or stir up trouble. I can't count the number of times I heard that certain people used AI to create false activities using people's faces just to tarnish the people's image.
Things like that are so common that we can not tell what AI is and what is true. These days people do certain crazy things and then say it's AI.
In Nigeria where people don't hesitate to use any slight opportunities they get to do evil, AI has become an escape route for them.
With all these things happening, one may say AI is doing more harm than good to our society, but is that true?
For real, it's AI that is giving out the information but who is sending the instructions? Humans of course.
There is nothing wrong with AI, the invention is harmless, just like a gun. The gun on its own is harmless, it is the person who uses it that will determine what it will do.
If one doesn't press the trigger, no bullet would be emitted, and no one would be hurt, but if the person holding it chose to press the trigger, anything can occur.
The problem is not AI, the problem is the people using it. The fact that it has the ability to do anything doesn't mean we should exploit it wrongly.
Giving us enough room to get anything we desire was not intended for us to go extreme, generating terrible content.
It's time we stop putting the blames on AI. The invention is just there to assist us, it is here to make life easy for us and not the other way around.
If anyone chooses to use it the wrong way, the person should be held responsible and not the AI tool.
Maybe in the case of teenagers or children and teenagers l, there should be a law or a limitation to restrict them to certain things, but for an adult, there is no justification whatsoever for using the AI tool wrongly.
