Can you do Hive as a full time job? I certainly think not, as it just doesn't seem like a very sustainable way to get by. While that is, the irony is that Passive income can quite possibly surpass our main income streams with enough discipline and consistency. Many of us here see the income side of Hive as something Passive but there's the contrast of sometimes spending actively. This is especially true when we consider stakeholders in relation to seasons spent on the Hive platform and stake.

For Hive to be a successful Passive income, it has to be Passive. That means getting another source of income as the main stream, to enable us forget the Hive rewards if possible entirely. I reckon everyone who has successfully built stake here on Hive has some sorts of alternate income streams that they rely on. For some of us, it is that the problems sometimes overcome our main sources that we turn to Hive.

One thing that liquidating my Hive assets did teach me is that my income streams were insufficient, contrary to what I originally believed. It has meant figuring new ways of improving my income sources outside of what I normally do, while discounting Hive as a potential source for the next two years.

There are dangers to building an active income source while growing Passive income streams. We only have so much time and can only do so much. I'll like to believe it is possibly to do both, but I certainly understand why some people would want to go all in on one particular thing. It also explains why those who see Hive as work ultimately quit before they get off ground.

As I see some of the more outlandish projections for the price of BTC, it is quite amusing to imagine what happens to the alts should some of them become realities. If Bitcoin does hit the $100,000 mark, you'd have to wonder where a token like Hive will land. We'd for sure see some appreciation, and a BTC driven ATH will leave some quick grabs for the alts; temporary, but one we won't refuse.

Should such a cycle come there will be those primed to benefit and others who have ultimately missed out. FOMO is real, and it comes with not having enough assets to reap the right kind of benefits at the appropriate time. Imagine being here like me for 5 years+ and not being able to benefit from an unprecedented ATH. That's why planning, discipline and consistency is so important. We plan so we can face the unplanned.
