For years I craved independence from home as a teen and a young adult, before I eventually got it. Unfortunately, it wasn't exactly what I had imagined as rather than freedom to do whatever I pleased, it was rather a World of bills and increased responsibilities.

This realization could have been more bearable if I wasn't in such a hurry to break free and make my mark. Early adulthood was marred with relatively bad financial decisions that ensured little financial footing over the first few years of my 'independence".

Perhaps I should have stayed dependent on my parents a bit longer and instead sought the right set of financial skills to see me through my early adult years. It could also be that such a move would've only delayed the inevitable failure and life lessons that needed to be learned.

Social circle, club mates, peers or whatever classist scenario we use to differentiate ourselves has been a norm in human endeavour for many years. The kind of category we choose to place ourselves can determine our financial trajectory for the foreseeable future.

Too High a Class

One problem that is self inflicted is a penchant for people to often elevate their social standing by Copying actions of others they believe fall into their social strata.

Sustaining a false sense of opulence isn't something that can be hid forever, even among those who do legitimately seem capable of such opulence.

We have seen and have often talked about the Lives of famous superstars and how some of them still went bankrupt despite all their career earnings. Mike Tyson in a bid to keep to his 'most feared man' persona purchased Tigers for ridiculous sums of money.

The consequences of being greedy here on hive is an increased probability of falling prey to fraudsters. Don't get too greedy and lose what you have just to potentially gain a few bucks is the story of most hive attacks these days.

Taking growth slow, being content with what is giving while keeping an eye towards the future is the perfect mindset for Visible improvement.
