The hardest thing about succeeding isn't our ability to get started, or knowing the right steps to take. It is rather our tendency to lose patience and move on after some time that really sets us back and ensures that the average person almost never succeeds at whatever ideas they might conceptualize. Unfortunately there is no timeframe when it comes to when an idea will pay off. There no guarantees either, only guidelines on what to do until we begin to see results. For most people, the rope is often short, and quickly begins to thin out once they get started.

Starting with a long enough rope for patience is something that we should take cognizance of if we're to truly benefit from taking action to begin with. My issues has always been the uncertainty associated with it. Yet for the most parts I haven't seen consistency fail anyone yet. There might not be a fixed date to things, but there are incremental steps and improvements that do occur along the way. At some point doubts do creep up if the results don't show, but that is only natural.

If you've never doubted yourself then you're most likely an alien. As much as we like to push confidence as the ultimate trait, there is also the case of insecurity that arises from the delay of results. No matter how sure we were originally, a lag in the time frame between action and results will always creep up doubts, especially the ones that arise from if the action is actually worth it to begin with. The biggest mistake we tend to make is the overlooking of the bigger picture as we rather contemplate and deliberate the results right in front of us.

Hives then fall to $0.11 is as good an example as you're going to get. The reaction wasn't unexpected and many people left, frustrated with the price and impatient about the results. Few crazy people saw the opportunity and kept growing their stake. You have to give big props for the long term thinking of those select people who kept consistent for months on end. The true test of resilience is actually in the amount of patience we can muster before we see things begin to happen. The beauty of life will forever remain the impermanence of things, and how the lows cannot last forever.
