HBD at 20% APR, the launch of polycub, xpolycub and now xpolycubHBD. These are a few changes happening right now in the Hive space over a relatively short period of time. Just imagine if you have been relatively consistent up till January this year then decide to take a break - Imagine how different the place would feel in a relatively short period of time.
Change is constant no doubt, but it seems it goes a lot faster in some instances than others. Especially here on the blockchain, developments are so rapid that it is almost a full time job to simply keep up with them. That said, despite the impressive nature of developments in the entire crypto world, Hive is still quite a remarkable example, and leofinance is even better if you want to narrow it down.
As we try to digest the implications of these changes over the period, and brace our for more coming down the line, one can't help but get the feeling that it is going to be an interesting 12 months ahead in the Hive space, and maybe on the blockchain as a whole. I mean, factor in the Russian Invasion and you suddenly realize the global and unexpected nature of change, with the potential to affect crypto either positively or negatively.
Take the instance of the Russian invasion for example, who would've thought that it would give a lot more credence to cryptocurrencies as more donations to Ukraine keep coming from all over the World with ease through cryptocurrencies. No one would've predicted the situation we find ourselves at the beginning of the year, but perhaps same can be said about how well the crypto space has handled itself regardless.
I can imagine when the Invasion is over (hopefully sooner than later) and it is time to rebuild. I think it would be an even better time for blockchain technology as Ukraine will have the choice of leveraging on it as an option to rebuild and reposition itself as an innovative economy. Imagine the consequences it would have for crypto all over the World - and this could happen in a relatively short time - the war could end tomorrow and leave us with big changes and decisions.
Don't Sleep on It
As an investor, whether passive or active, as long as you seek returns then sleeping on the changes happening in the space isn't an option really, unless you want to get left behind. There are so many developmental strides that could have huge implications in the medium term it would be unwise to simply let them slip away.
Conclusion
Keeping abreast of what is happening and trying to take early movers advantage in cases where option is available, or long term positioning for others should be the goal of return seeking investors at this point if you ask me. I agree with the sentiment that the next year is going to be big for the entire cryptospace, now definitely isn't the time for a break.
