Chapter Five
I did my jamb examination the following year and got admission into OAU (obafemi awolowo university)at ile ife. The resumption date was just three days away when I left our house in Ikeja Lagos to settle in the apartment rented for me around the school premises.
We resumed class on Monday and it was another new life chapter entirely for me,i had to adjust to waking up as early as possible in other to meet up with lectures on time and even had to create time for reading..my cellphone wasn't my only priority anymore now i had more to do with my life.
I tried all my best to look away from the guys cause I was still hurting from my last heartbreak but then it made me focus more on my studies although some guys came forward to ask me out but I politely declined cause I know what they all wanted.
But there was this particular guy who managed to always follow me around and at a point in time people got the idea that we were dating which was actually false. Have tried all my best to stop him from playing around with me but it seems am replenishing his ego then I decided to let him be since he was doing no harm,we became close friends taking advice from each other taking advice from each other,do things together he wasn't really the cute type but he wasn't ugly.
Our friendship went on like that,we finished our first year and then came the second year with lot of more studies to focus on. There was this lady he was dating before we became close but along the line they broke up because she thought i was having an affair with him,i tried to explain that Michelle was nothing but a friend to me but all fell on deaf ears.
I wasn't in a relationship with anyone throughout my first year but then when we resumed our second year i started a relationship with Seyi a guy in my department. He was cute fair skinned,a bit rascal than gentle but he was caring and loving.our relationship started with the rule of no sex although he wasn't really comfortable with the idea but he said he was ready to abide because of the love he has for me and that actually pleases me.
Seyi was all a lady could ask for in a guy, he kept spoiling me with love and care.i do visit him in his apartment and all we do is gisting and sometimes a bit of romance that I can manage to give out.
My relationship with Seyi didn't stop me from focusing on my studies neither did it stop my friendship with Michelle only that we don't spend as much time we do spend together before Seyi and I started our thing.
But then I noticed Michelle wasn't really happy about my relationship with Seyi but didn't tell me, After his last breakup he has not been pursuing any lady lately although I sometimes wondered why cause he wasn't the type of guy to be single for some time, I tried asking him why but he kept talking me out of it. His reasons wasn't really clear to me but I let him be
I went to Seyi's apartment that very Friday evening and after i made something for us to eat we had nothing to do so we played ludo.
"Babe you are cheating jare,"I shouted after me losing to him for the fifth time,
" But you know am not you are not just a good player yet," he replied smiling,
"Then am done playing joor I refuse to continue been a loser," I said again making a serious face at him.
"Really," he replied laughing out loud,we were still on our argument when we noticed it was raining outside and both of us went out to clear a few things that could get damaged by the rain outside.
By the time we got inside we were both shivering and it was getting late he insisted I sleep over since it's getting late and I can't go in the rain anyway, I wasn't really okay with the idea but I had no choice.
He went to the kitchen and made tea for the both of us in other to reduce the cold but then after drinking the tea he made i didn't know when I slept off.
