Now i feel proud and better when taking a casual ride in the evening, or i'm headed out to work or just cruising around town on my bike, seeing other bikers and more of them recently and it feels beautiful riding along, greeting, smiling and exchanging plesantries, thou i'm exciting for the coming back of the cycling era...
You see before now i would say in the 80's and early 90's here in Africa, If you own a bike you are considered a very wealthy man and would be given a chieftancy tittle, that was how valueable it was, then cars started coming and other forms of transportation took over the space, fastforeward to present day where bicycles are now looked like a form of transportation, for people who are lesser or of no value, instead as a lite medium of transportation which is very easy, efficient and effective, very affordable and eases movement easy to maintain and require very little or no cost of maintainance..
So few month something tragic happens and it changed the course, yah it did the cost of fuel, diesel, gas everything just gone all up down here so this in turn affected the cost of transporting, to cover a very short distance will cost almost tripled the normal cost and untop of that it also affected the cost of living cause the prices of every damn thing went up, so the people had to sort for an alternative medium to life...
Before now when riding, i rarely see other bikers along the road, which i guess people prefer using public vehicles for short or long distance movement, but since the revolution started a lot and lots of others now opt to buy bicycles instead, now realising how important and good it is to own one, which can seamlessly take you anywhere at no cost at all, now guess what.!!!.. Now since the demand for bicycles are up the prices also went up, yah its a normal demand and supply thing i gerrit but its still far better than spending more on public TP's.
Now i ride my bike and feeling exalted.😄😄😄😂, how the era of cycling has returned and lots of people now value and place Real-time demand on bicycles, you might wonder whats with all the pep talk about cycling its a normal thing right?, here its not the same as in other western countries, were it is much appreciated cause they understand the real essence of it, howbeit i feel its now beginning to make sense why the people ought to do more of cycling than just seating there in a bus doing nothing, ofcourse it safes a lot of pennies down your pocket..
