Un día diferente [Esp/Eng]

Hola, ¿qué tal, amigos? ¿Cómo están? Espero que muy bien; yo por aquí descansando. La verdad es que tuve un día bastante largo y agotador, porque tenía mucho trabajo y me costó un poco organizar todo lo que tenía pendiente; casi que ni tuve tiempo de hacer una pausa que en los trabajos de oficina siempre es necesaria. Pero ni siquiera medio tiempo para eso.

Oiga, quería compartirles un rato bastante especial que tuve el día de ayer debido a que me reuní con unos primos que tenía muchísimo tiempo que no veía y todo ocurrió de la nada; realmente era algo que no tenía planificado y que se dio de la mejor manera.

Hi there, how are you all? I hope you’re doing well; I’m just taking it easy here. To be honest, I’ve had quite a long and tiring day, because I had a lot of work on and found it a bit of a struggle to sort through everything I had pending; I barely had time to take a break, which is always necessary in an office job. But I didn’t even have half a moment for that.

Listen, I wanted to share a rather special moment I had yesterday, as I met up with some cousins I hadn’t seen in ages, and it all happened out of the blue; it really wasn’t something I’d planned, but it turned out perfectly.

Mi hermana quería salir un rato a despejar la mente e igualmente mi cuñado, así que no sabían para dónde ir y, como no nos veíamos con nuestros primos desde hace mucho tiempo y tampoco habíamos celebrado el Día de las Madres, decidimos invitarlos un rato a la playa. Bueno, realmente yo no, porque yo me encontraba trabajando y de casualidad llegué justamente en el momento y mi hermana me preguntó que si quería ir y aproveché de irme con ellos para distraerme un rato.

Estuvimos bastante tiempo en la playa, en realidad, porque incluso nos vinimos de noche, y estaba siendo un supermegafrío. Menos mal que en el caso de Jade tenía su suéter, pero mi sobrina se estaba bañando en la playa y, aunque se salió temprano, es como si el frío no le afectara, ni a ella ni a mi sobrino; ellos como si nada; en cambio, yo muriéndome.

My sister wanted to go out for a bit to clear her head, and so did my brother-in-law, so they weren’t sure where to go. As we hadn’t seen our cousins for ages and hadn’t celebrated Mother’s Day either, we decided to invite them to the beach for a while. Well, not me, actually, because I was working and just happened to arrive at that very moment, and my sister asked me if I wanted to go, so I took the opportunity to go with them to take my mind off things for a bit.

We actually spent quite a long time at the beach, because we even stayed until nightfall, and it was freezing cold. Luckily, Jade had her jumper on, but my niece was swimming in the sea and, although she got out early, it was as if the cold didn’t affect her or my nephew at all; they were completely unfazed, whereas I was freezing to death.

Yo creo que los últimos han salido en la playa; fuimos nosotros porque de verdad que se hizo bastante tarde, pero también teníamos tiempo que no nos veíamos, así que fue un rato bastante, pero bastante bonito, conversando y compartiendo un rato en familia, aunque también me dio mucha gracia porque en la playa había bastante peso globo y mi sobrina andaba corriendo como si le fueran a hacer algo porque se va en ella, pasan corriente, jajajajaja. ¡Saludos!

I think the last ones went out onto the beach; we went because it really did get quite late, but we hadn’t seen each other for a while either, so it was quite a long, but really lovely, time chatting and spending some family time together, although I also found it really funny because there were quite a few inflatable toys on the beach and my niece was running around as if they were going to do something to her because she gets carried away, they’re a bit of a handful, hahahaha.
