Food cravings are something that can make your day go around it. Today was such a day with a bad craving to have KFC. As usual, I searched on Swiggy to find an outlet nearby and there are none around me.
I highly suggest Swiggy or any other delivery service to start something like a “Premium delivery” or some services, which will bring food from a bit farther!
Well, with that in mind, I ditched the online ordering and went out searching to get something similar. “South spicy bites” is where I decided to get me something felt like KFC.
They have a restaurant and a separate xpress counter for takeaways. It was around 12 PM, not a great time to ask for everything on the menu. That being said, the counter was almost empty. All the chef were busy preparing the lunch menu.
Instead of going through the menu, I asked this chef who came to ask what I was looking for. Sometimes its hard to decide and explain what you want to eat, but, Not this time. I was very clear and asked him if they have anything like KFC chicken.
“Nothing” the reply was fast with a sorry face “you can have grilled chicken, and all these ones that are listed on the menu, but none of them are like the ones you are looking for.”
Based on his suggestion, I settled for Honey crispy chicken and he went to fetch the guy for billing.
Menu
As the name suggests, most of their dishes are “spicy”. And no, no just the spices, its hot too from the chilies.
Food
It was not the first time I had something from here. There was this other time when I had spicy chicken noodles from here. And that is the main reason I took a honey chicken this time. The chicken noodles was really spicy that I remember crying because of the chilies.
So, this time it was this crisps of chicken, with the honey-based sauce. It was sweet with the green spice mixes in it.
It was good.
Did it make the KFC craving go away? Definitely not, I might be exploring another area near here to find one soon.
