This weekend was a bit hectic, since yesterday Sunday the Presidential elections in Ecuador took place, the second round and the final one. So on Saturday we made some preparations at my house to receive one of my older brothers, he lives in Guayaquil, 3 hours away from where we live. Every time there are elections he has to come to the city, since voting in Ecuador is mandatory and not doing so generates a fine.
Saturday's snack or dinner was almost ready and at that moment, everything went wrong, my eldest daughter Ammy fainted and when she fell she hit her head very hard, she was outside with her grandparents and aunt. I was in the kitchen and the sound of the blow being so hard made me come out very scared to see what was going on. We did not hesitate to take her to the hospital immediately and although all the tests came back fine and she is apparently fine, we plan to take her soon to a specialist, preferably a neurologist.
We spent the whole night at the hospital, which is close to my house. When we got out of there, we tried to rest for the next day to go to vote. In my case I could hardly sleep. Sunday I spent with a headache and discomfort from the late night. I got up again and again to check on Ammy, thank God it didn't get worse.
Sunday as usual, I go to the market, after shopping I came to prepare lunch quickly and from there I met my dad and my brothers (Fabian and Sarah) to go to vote, since we have the same polling station. We shared a while before going to vote and when we arrived at our center everything flowed very fast, this is good since due to political issues there has been a lot of violence in the country. Once ready, everyone went to lunch and in the evening we met again to have dinner together and say goodbye to the weekend as a family.

Este fin de semana fue algo agitado, ya que ayer domingo se llevaron acabo las elecciones Presidenciales del Ecuador, la segunda vuelta y la definitiva. Así que el día sábado hicimos algunos preparativos en mi casa para recibir a uno de mis hermanos mayores, él vive en Guayaquil, a 3 horas de donde nosotros vivimos. Cada vez que hay elecciones tiene que venir a la ciudad, ya que el voto en Ecuador es obligatorio y de no hacerlo genera una multa.
La merienda o cena del sábado estaba casi lista y en ese momento, todo se tornó mal, mi hija mayor Ammy se desmayó y al caer se dió un golpe muy fuerte en la cabeza, ella estaba afuera con sus abuelos y tía. Yo estaba en la cocina y el sonido del golpe al ser tan duro me hizo salir muy asustada a ver qué pasaba. No dudamos en llevarla al hospital de inmediato y aunque todos los exámenes salieron bien y ella aparentemente está muy bien, pensamos llevarla pronto a un especialista de preferencia Neurólogo.
Pasamos toda la noche en el hospital el cual queda cerca de mi casa. Al salir de allí, tratamos de descansar para al siguiente día ir a votar. En mi caso casi no pude dormir. El domingo pasé con dolor de cabeza y malestar por el trasnocho. Me levantaba una y otra vez a revisar a Ammy, gracias a Dios no pasó a mayores.
El domingo como siempre, voy al mercado, luego de hacer las compras vine a preparar rápido el almuerzo y de allí me encontré con mi papá y mis hermanos (Fabián y Sarah) para ir a votar, ya que tenemos el mismo centro electoral. Compartimos un rato antes de ir a votar y al llegar a nuestro centro todo fluyó muy rápido, esto es bueno ya que por temas políticos ha habido mucha violencia en el país. Una vez listos, cada uno se fue a almorzar y en la noche nos reencontramos para cenar juntos y despedir así el fin de semana en familia.
