Hi everybody!
Today was my last day of work until Tuesday. It was a busy day as the doc was booked and he just got back from his vacation in Florida.
When I got home, I eagerly opened my Amazon package knowing it was my new high powered flashlight. Now I know what you’re thinking…….why would a gal be so happy over that? Well, hiking in the dark on country roads in cougar territory will make a person happy about things that help you see in the dark that might not make other folks giddy! It has a maximum 1600 lumens!! SUPER bright, and it does live up to it’s description. It’s constructed of anodized machined aluminum and is waterproof. I figure quite the nice bargain at $15.99 USD. Serious candle power for sure!

You can't tell much from this picture, but trust me when I say that it's super bright-so much so it almost hurts my eyes in the room I was in when I took the picture.
As we left to go, our other neighbor’s dog was going crazy barking; keep in mind he barks a lot, so I didn’t really think much of it until about 10 minutes later when a cacophony of animal sounds reached our ears. It was the eerie sound of a pack of coyotes seemingly calling him out. They will do that so they can attack the dog. Duke is a huge chocolate brown Lab, and I don’t know if that would scare them off, but I still worry. I would not leave my dog outside in the dark! There’s cougars and things out there!
It’s colder tonight and for the first time I had to protect my ears from it. The sky was clear, but it is supposed to cloud up and rain for the next few days, with the forecast of snow of some variety on Tuesday. It’s time I suppose, and I don’t really mind.
