Hello my dear friends who love cooking and good food⭐🍰

It's a pleasure to come back to this space and share with you my most recent experience with food, in particular with desserts.

On Valentine's Day I went to a dessert place that is new in town and I definitely loved it, I had a couple of weeks seeing people going to the place and between so many occupations I had not had the opportunity to go, but I left to share that special day in a place that I thought would be very special.

IMG_20230214_180446.jpg

The first thing you have to know is that it is a Harry Potter themed cafe there my excitement of wanting to go, because I have a potterhead heart for years and since I met my husband I infected him that excitement for the whole magical world, so if or if we had to go.

The place is called Patronous Café, it is located on Pedro Leon Torres Avenue in Barquisimeto and it is a family business that share that passion for everything magical in the world of Harry Potter, the place although it is small is cozy I think a little is because it is very well weighted all the themed decoration.

IMG_20230214_184824.jpg

That Valentine's Day there were quite many people so we had to wait a couple of minutes while a table was vacated, but we really did not waste time because we were entertained taking pictures with the robes and wands that are on display and of course that replica of the Sorting Hat that left me captivated because for a moment I felt that definitely would say the name of my house at Hogwarts which is Ravenclaw ❤️

The whole time I was very excited and felt like a little girl playing with the props they lend to all the customers.

IMG_20230214_182014.jpg

Now let's get to what matters to us, the desserts and the prices of the siti. I ordered something they call the 3 wizards cup, which contains 3 layers of 3 different types of cakes, one of chocolate that they call Expecto Patronum, another one of red velvet which is called Amortentia and the last one of vanilla which is named Rictusempra the best thing was that between layer and layer it had buttercream and the combination was really attractive to the eye and that drove me crazy was a ferrero bonbon that resembles a golden snitch, so it was 150 points for Gryffindor 😂 or in this case Ravenclaw which is my Hogwarts house.

IMG_20230214_182952.jpg

But I thought, one thing is how it looks and another thing the taste even though the excitement had me blinded I took a few minutes to taste each flavor and texture and the truth was an exhibition of flavors I loved it and it was the best choice of dessert because I had the best of the 3 flavors of cakes in one cup.

IMG_20230214_181757.jpgIMG_20230214_182629.jpg

My husband ordered an Expecto Patronum (chocolate cake) and it was very tasty although after tasting the flavor bomb I felt it was a little dry, its flavor is intense chocolate with a light layer of butter cream.

How much did we spend? In total we paid 7.5$ the 3 magicians cup cost 4$ and the Expecto Patronum cake 3.5$ and I think that for the size and flavor they have good prices in all the desserts in general, what I found a little expensive was the drinks. Now although for me the experience was a 10/10 there are aspects that you should take into account if you want to visit them. One of them is that they do not have parking, the space is small and it is not recommended to go in large groups and the other is that although it is a place of coffees and desserts that day there was no coffee.

IMG_20230214_181039.jpgIMG_20230214_181001.jpg

Although none of the above limited my enjoyment of the place, it is important to take it into account. I would gladly go again to continue tasting the delicious desserts they have there and of course to feel like I was at Hogwarts for a few minutes.
