I had some kiwi fruit that was in the fridge, nearing it's inevitable end and I had a thought:
"Can you dry kiwi fruit?," I asked myself. Myself answered back with, "You'll never know unless you try!" Actually, I suppose I could have asked Alexa or Google or scanned Pinterest but I threw caution to the wind and cut up all of my kiwi, slid them onto a dehydrator tray, set the machine to high, and adjusted the timer to three hours.
I checked the progress about every hour and sure enough, after about three hours the little kiwi fruit slices were all puckered up.
The end result was a healthy snack that tastes very much like sour patch kids candy but without all the poisonous sugar and preservatives that constitute candy nowadays.
