Hey dear Hive community, first of all I want to wish you all a nice day that was hopefully rich in many positive experiences! When I was out today, I was lucky enough to discover a beautiful bird which I would like to present to you.
Here you can see a blackbird which is also scientifically called Turdus merula. In the photos you can see how she is currently collecting food and this bird species prefers to feed on insects or worms, but they also like plant nutrition such as berries. This bird species is native to Europe, Asia, Africa or Australia and many move to the south in winter to hibernate.
I was really lucky that the bird was just distracted, so I could take some beautiful pictures in peace! Turdus merula is a rather smaller bird in proportion, which can grow about 25-30 cm tall. The natural enemies include birds of prey such as owls or falcons and originally this bird can be found in forests but can also be found in parks or gardens since the 19th century.
The common blackbird is a typical symbol of courage and optimism and is also considered a power animal, it is also associated with spirituality. It is also often found in mythology and according to the ancient Celts, it was one of the first animals on planet Earth. This bird was formerly also called black druid and it was claimed that the sound of this bird should have a special effect, which can put people in a trance state.
Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you like my Post, I used my camera Sony Alpha 6000 and Sony SEL-55210 Telephoto Zoom Lens (55-210mm) to take these pictures.
