The railway station "Borodino" was founded in 1869 when laying a railway along the Moscow-Brest route. It is with her that most tourists begin their acquaintance with the memorial "Borodino Field"
In 1903 a small museum dedicated to the battle of Borodino was opened at the station. I did not go inside the station, but they say that the station museum exists until now, though it is not always open.
