Hello, Splinters Fanatics!
This week's 👉Secret of the Battle Mages is about the Ruleset Going the Distance
| Only monsters with Ranged damage |
What makes Splinterlands extremely dynamic are the various Rulesets, which are different in every battle. This, coupled with analyzing the opponent's match history, is paramount in building a winning strategy.
The mage secret to the Ruleset Going the Distance
When this Ruleset was implemented the need was felt to have more cards with Ranged damage
Using Units with the ability Close Range
Archers are generally very offensive, but most of them have low health. Therefore, it is necessary to choose tanks with a lot of health, in order to give more time to the rear.
To spice up battles with this Ruleset, you can use units with the Headwinds
Best Summoners
Since you cannot choose any other type of unit, other than the Ranged type
If you want all your units to attack from the first position the best option is to choose the Summoner Fernheart, which grants all allies the ability Close Range
Now if you want to increase the power of your Ranged units there are the following Summoners, to make your team more offensive: Selenia Sky, Prince Rennyn and General Sloan
As well, there are summoners that can make the enemy team weaker by reducing the Ranged damage by (-1). In this case we have the following options: Contessa L'ament, Quix The Devious and Mimosa Nightshade.
And if you want some of the Ranged damage to be returned, use summoners with the Return Fire ability
To put the secrets revealed so far into practice, nothing better than a battle containing the Going the Distance Rule Set
The battle took place in Gold League, in Wild mode, and featured the following Ruleset: Going the Distance
Both players chose Splinter Dagron, because since there is a limitation of cards only Ranged is the option that expands the possibilities. Both Summoners chose Quix The Devious, which reduces Ranged damage and opponent's velocity by (-1).
Below follows our escalation strategy:
| As the main tank I chose Runic Skyclaw, because it has reasonable health and high speed that combined with the ability Flying | |
| In the second position I climbed Firecaller, which has the Martyr ability | |
| In the third position was scaled Lava Launcher, an excellent tank as it has plenty of health and armor, and the ability Close Range | |
| Soon after, I climbed Tinderlock another monster that has the Close Range ability | |
| Next, I scaled Ash Mirage, which has the Headwinds skill | |
| Finally, I have scaled Supply Runner an excellent card for that increases the speed of the team. |
Come Check Out the Battle!
In the first round, what we noticed is that the opponent used a similar strategy focused on speed. And for this reason, in terms of speed the buff and debuff were nullified. Now in terms of damage debuffs Ranged we both applied the same amount. However, my opponent has monsters with maximum level for league gold, and for this reason we are at a disadvantage. I immediately consider this battle lost!

What has helped us are our opponent's attack losses, which were greater than ours. Runic Skyclaw did an excellent job, and perhaps this is the reason that the battle stayed level, despite the difference in card levels.
In the third round, Runic Skyclaw is gone and then our real tank comes into play, Lava Launcher, after being buffed by the Martyr ability
Even with the difference in levels of our cards, in this battle I was very lucky that the opponent missed several attacks. Towards the end of the battle, our opponent is being pressured. In the end, the victory was ours due mainly to luck.
In today's post some battle mage secrets were revealed for the Going the Distance Ruleset

Neste caso temos as seguintes opções: Contessa L'ament, Quix The Devious e Mimosa Nightshade.
Venha Conferir a Batalha!
