The biggest mistake I made in this battle was that I forgot the first ruleset, Equalizer. The initial health of a unit is given to all units. I forgot this. Otherwise selecting monsters with the Thorns ability is very important in this type of ruleset.

This was the biggest mistake I made and the reason I lost this battle. But one thing I must say is that I got the right opportunity to understand this ruleset and it will help me make a better plan for future battles.

Today I had a very interesting battle with 27 mana. I got the chance to enter a battle with very difficult rulesets. This is a low mana battle where selecting effective monsters becomes quite difficult. Especially when difficult rulesets appear they create even more confusion.

Remember that to win any battle you must understand the rulesets correctly. Based on these rulesets you select your monsters and create a good lineup for the battle.

I made a very big mistake in this battle. First let us understand which three rulesets appeared and what strategy I planned according to them. Then I will explain where I made the mistake.

Ruleset 1: Equalizer

This is a ruleset where all selected units receive the same health as the unit with the highest initial health. It does not matter whether the units belong to me or my opponent.

For example if I select a monster with a maximum health of 6 then all monsters will have 6 health at the beginning of the battle.

In this type of ruleset you should select monsters with low initial health because you can benefit from the Equalizer effect. The more monsters you select the more you can benefit from this ruleset. Try to fill your team with low mana monsters so you can get the maximum advantage in battle.

According to this ruleset you should give preference to monsters with the Thorns ability. This ability allows them to return damage to enemies that attack them with melee attacks

Ruleset 2: Wich Hunt

According to this ruleset ranged units deal double damage against magic attackers.

For example if an enemy unit has a magic attack and I have a ranged attacker then my ranged attacker will deal double damage when it hits that magic attacker instead of dealing normal damage.

This ruleset does not give preference to magic units. Instead ranged attackers get more preference.

Try to build a lineup with as many ranged attackers and melee attackers as possible so you can take full advantage of this ruleset

Ruleset 3: Close Range

All units receive the Close Range ability whether they belong to me or my opponent.

With the Close Range ability you can place a ranged attacker in the first position and it can still attack. Under normal conditions a ranged attacker cannot attack from the first position.

According to this ruleset you should try to select as many ranged attackers as possible. They can become very dangerous in this battle especially against magic damage.

MY MONSTER SELECTION ACCORDING TO THESE RULESETS

Keeping these three rulesets in mind I planned my strategy and selected my monsters.

I selected an Archon monster with the plus one health ability. This meant that all my units would receive one additional health at the beginning of the battle.

After that I selected a strong tank monster for my frontline. It had good health and armor. However this was actually my biggest mistake. I should have selected a monster with low initial health but good armor and useful abilities for the first position because all units would receive equal health under the Equalizer ruleset.

I had forgotten this point. Otherwise I would not have made this selection. This was my biggest mistake.

In the second position I selected a monster with the melee attack ability that could continue performing melee attacks while staying in the second position. This was my second mistake. I should have placed a good ranged attacker here without considering its health.

In the third position I selected a ranged attacker. This was the only correct monster selection I made in this battle. However winning this battle with only one correctly selected monster was not possible for me.

OPPONENTS FIRST UNIT WAS DISASTER

When I saw my opponent's units on the battlefield I was surprised because the opponent had selected Spellmonger. Its base health was 6.

Now I faced several difficulties. I had big problem because this monster had the Thorns ability.

A monster with Thorns reflects damage whenever a melee attacker hits it. I had two melee attackers and this became a serious problem for me.

Still my frontline monster was quite strong. From Round 1 to Round 2 both sides continued attacking each other. By Round 3 my opponent's weak monster was eliminated. The opponent's first monster which had the Thorns ability was also eliminated.

However the biggest problem was that by this time both of my monsters had already received a lot of damage because of the Thorns ability. They had become weak.

In Round 4 my tank monster was destroyed and the battle became two versus two.

In Round 5 my second monster which had already taken damage was also eliminated. In this way the battle remained two versus one during Rounds 5 and 6.

Finally at the end of Round 7 my last unit was destroyed and I lost the battle.

This was my biggest mistake. I did not understand the first ruleset correctly and this became the reason for my defeat.

What strategy would you use in this type of battle and which monsters would you give preference to? will be great to see your answers in the comment section.
