The air is a waft with the sweet smell of the Elderberry blossoms! Elderberries are in the honeysuckle family, giving their blossoms that fragrant sweetness. When in bloom is the only time Elderberry plants smell good, the rest of the time their rather stinky.
Here some photo’s I took the other day of this year’s bloom. It was fun except for the pesky deer fly’s we are plagued with this time of the year at the Ranch.
Deer like to eat my elderberry plants....Sharing is part of life.
