𝑫𝒐 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒔𝒊𝒅𝒆𝒓 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒇 𝒂 𝒔𝒖𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒖𝒔 𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒐𝒏?

I definitely consider myself a very superstitious person, and I have verified this by analyzing certain attitudes of mine. For example, you will never see me walking under a ladder, unless I am distracted and did not see it, but when I see one, immediately I move to the side and tell my mom not to walk under it, just like breaking a mirror, I always handle them carefully so they don't fall because I wouldn't want to have 7 years of bad luck. So yes, I am very superstitious!

There are many that catch my attention, but if I have to choose one of them, it would be finding a coin on the ground.

Supposedly, this brings good luck, for a change, and I have come across many coins throughout my life and I am starting to believe they are bad luck because the fortune never arrived, on the contrary, Buhito is becoming more and more cursed and things always go wrong for him, or maybe I am being very superstitious.

Definitivamente soy una persona muy supersticiosa y esto lo he comprobado analizando ciertas actitudes mías. Por ejemplo, nunca me vas a ver caminando por debajo de una escalera, salvo que este distraída y no la haya visto, pero cuando veo una, de inmediato me voy para un costado y le digo a mi mamá que no camine por debajo de ella, al igual que romper un espejo, siempre los trato con cuidado para que no se caigan porque no me gustaría tener 7 años de mala suerte. ¡Así que sí, soy muy supersticiosa!

Son muchas las que me llaman la atención, pero si tengo que elegir una de ellas, sería encontrarse una moneda en el suelo.

Esto supuestamente trae buena fortuna, para variar un poco, y me he encontrado con muchas monedas a lo largo de mi vida y estoy empezando a creer que son de mala suerte porque la fortuna nunca llego, al contrario, Buhito está cada vez más endemoniado y siempre le salen mal las cosas o quizá estoy siendo muy supersticiosa.

I used to have many charms that my grandmother gave me which she said were blessed and brought good luck. I wore them believing in them, I remember a necklace with a stone that was blessed, I wore it to take exams at the University hoping to do well. One day I forgot it and I still did well, I know it sounds absurd, I did well because I had been studying for months, but a little faith doesn't hurt once in a while in someone as cursed as this owl.

When I was little we had a fairly large mirror leaning on a chest of drawers, it was loose and my mom used to clean a lot on that side, until one day it fell and broke. Immediately I thought to myself and shouted "It's 7 years of bad luck" and I was scared because of that, so much so that I counted the years until they passed, there were very ugly moments during that time and I blamed that mirror. I think they became eternal because bad luck keeps knocking on our doors, I already feel like a victim of the diabolical owl!

Solía tener muchos amuletos que me traía mi abuela que según ella estaban bendecidos y traían buena suerte. Los usaba creyendo en ellos, recuerdo un collar con una piedra que estaba bendita, yo la usaba para ir a rendir exámenes en la Universidad y que así me fuera bien. Un día me lo olvide e igual me fue bien, ya sé que suena absurdo, me fue bien porque estuve meses preparándome, pero un poco de fe no viene mal de vez en cuando en alguien endemoniado como este búho.

Cuando era pequeña teníamos un espejo bastante grande apoyado sobre una cajonera, estaba suelto y mi mamá solía limpiar mucho por ese lado, hasta que un dia se le cayó y se hizo pedazos. De inmediato se me vino a la mente y le grite “Son 7 años de mala suerte” y yo estaba asustada por eso, tanto así que contaba los años hasta que pasaran, hubo momentos muy feos durante ese tiempo y yo culpaba a ese espejo. Creo que se hicieron eternos porque la mala suerte sigue golpeando a nuestras puertas, ¡ya me siento una víctima del búho diabólico!

𝑾𝒉𝒚 𝒅𝒐 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒌 𝒑𝒆𝒐𝒑𝒍𝒆 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒔𝒖𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒖𝒔, 𝒘𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒊𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒔𝒐𝒏 𝒕𝒐 𝒃𝒆𝒍𝒊𝒆𝒗𝒆 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒎?

For me it's very generational, all the superstitions I believe in were told to me when I was young by my family and they were told to me so many times that they stuck with me and now I find it difficult to let go of them. That's why I still firmly believe that everything said to a child at a very early age stays with them for the rest of their life, in some cases it's not like that, but in mine it is and it's not that they bother me either, after all, it's even funny how I react to a ladder. Attitude is everything!

Para mí es algo muy generacional, todas las supersticiones en las que creo me fueron dichas de pequeña por mi familia y me las dijeron tantas veces que se me quedaron grabadas y hoy me resulta difícil desprenderme de ellas. Por eso sigo sosteniendo que todo lo que sea dicho a un niño a una edad muy temprana, se queda grabado el resto de su vida, en algunos casos no es así, pero en el mío sí y tampoco es que me molesten, al fin y al cabo, hasta me resulta gracioso como reacciono frente a una escalera. ¡La actitud lo es todo!
