Who would have thought that this small flower was coming from West Africa and not natives from Southeast Asia, or even here in Bali, Indonesia? But I have seen this flower for quite sometimes already, and it already spreading wide even up to my hometown on the slope of the mountain.
The amazing way for nature to spread its species around the world, isn't it? But despite its lovely color flower this species of Cleome rutidosperma or it is called Maman Lanang here in my place, this plant is actually an invasive weed that can overgrown some native species or area.
It has a purple color flower with only four petals that all are curving upward as you can see in the photos below. The shape of the flower is quite interesting, isn't it?
