I am getting closer to the harvest day for my shallot farm. If all goes according to plan, then it will be next week that I will harvest them.

So far, everything is looking great, at least for the Bali Karet variety which is proven to be better at adapting to the soil here in my area.

just for your information, I was planting Tajuk and Bali Karet shallot varieties this season. The idea is to see the comparison between the two varieties in the soil and climate here in my place. You can read my previous update about the plant here, which I made around two weeks ago.

Here you can see the bulbs are looking nice and big, and the plant itself is still looking nice, which indicates that it didn't really have any issues during its growth.

And here is the kind of thing that I want to see in the last week of every shallot growing season. It looks dried, which is expected, as they are in the last days of their plant life, before storing all of the energy that they made into the bulb, which makes them bigger.

Unfortunately, I didn't take photos of the tajuk variety. I'm not sure what I was thinking back then, and I regret it now that I'm trying to make this post. So maybe in my next update, I will make sure to take photos of both varieties and see the result.
