I listened to a preacher and thought... If everyone did what this gentleman says, surely the world would be different, it would also be terribly boring.... It has to be said.

And I must point out that as I listened to him, I went further away until I no longer felt his voice (I don't like the tone of voice of the preachers).

But in theory, if everyone, absolutely everyone followed the word of Jesus or God, the world would be another. And I mean Catholicism, which is what I grew up with.

I am your God
You shall have no other gods before me
You won't make a picture of yourself
You shall not take the name of your God in vain
Remember the Sabbath day to sanctify it
Honour your father and mother
You won't kill
You shall not commit adultery
You won't steal
Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.
Thou shalt not covet (thy neighbor's house)
Thou shalt not covet (thy neighbor's wife)
You shall not covet (the servants, the animals, or anything else of your neighbor)

If you read these rules or norms of God, they are perfect to live with tranquility, that not even being in a beach with a cocada in hand, you could have.

I recognize that, even though the most religious thing I've ever been, is to wear a rosary for fashion.

But then it does sound so nice in words, because we didn't obey it in its moment, neither now, nor in the future we will.

I think this question is so complex to answer, it's easier to ignore.

Even so, I will try to give as general an answer as possible and is that, human beings are essentially self-destructive animals, which despite having happiness in minimum things, the least chance we find the way to screw it up.

Hence the saying that we always stumble upon the same stone, a grandmother's saying, so as not to lose the habit.

The destructive, are questions of human mentality, that a psychologist sure will be able to answer better.

The truth is that I myself could NOT live with God's rules, in fact I do not live with them.

I believe more in the power to choose what to believe in and how to lead your life, than in faithfully following a religion that tells you how to dress, what to do, when and how to do it. In all the history of humanity it has not brought peace and happiness to be ruled by religions. Even so, there is a lot.

Religions are not the solution, they are more of a problem.

If even my way of thinking came to have a god and to be extreme in its thought, that day it ceased to be so. (It would be something similar to Deism, I'm not sure)

In the end I believe that humans should be governed by Education, common sense and respect, that way they would be great people.
