Recently I was reading about the circumstances in which the writer of WHAT THE WIND WAS TAKEN AWAY found herself.
And what I urged her to write in this book was an accident that caused her to have an ankle injury for a while.
Then the woman threw away more than 1000 pages of book, because she was bored doing nothing.
And no, I'm not going to tell you that when you're bored, you start writing and the book you do becomes a best seller, winner of a pullisert prize and inspiration to one of the best movies in cinema, according to critics.
No! I'm going to tell you that once again life tells you that in bad circumstances, difficult situations, moments that seem not to bring anything positive, that's exactly the best situation for you to do what you've always postponed or develop that idea that just came to you to remedy a problem.
Because yes! there are periods when better ideas arise and they are just presented in the most pressing situations.
My Experience
It is in this moment of my life, when I have a real chance to achieve what I have always wanted.
Economic stability, independently, being able to leave the country by my own means.
But this doesn't come out of nowhere, it came out of all the adversities that are present in my country of birth.
From living in the country with the highest inflation in the world, you must (whether you like it or not) make your mind think and find solutions.
And in this moment I can say... that I hit the nail on the head, I found something similar to a passion.
I always reflect and came to the conclusion that if I didn't live in Venezuela or if I didn't live in the economic crisis in Venezuela, I wouldn't do what I do today, that's the feeling I have.
The truth is that you have to see difficult moments as opportunities, you have to be open to what's coming, because your mind will send you messages, it will be active in giving you solutions to the problems it has and you will have to take advantage of those messages and assume them without fear.
I have discovered that the mind is more creative in difficult times, so take advantage of it.
