I'm back in Umugi Cove. This place is basically the hideout of various mercenaries and Straw Hat Ronins. I decided to start a Mythical Tales mission this time. While wandering around the cove before, I saw the old storyteller, who always tells legendary stories. So I thought, he must have some new secret hidden behind him.
Before meeting him, I completed some upgrades. I went to the Trapper. There I increased the capacity of my kunai, arrows, and explosive arrows. Then I went to the blacksmith. Using the resources I had been saving for a long time, I finally fully upgraded my Katana. Now the blows of this sword are much more powerful than before. Even heavily armored enemies will not be able to survive more than a few hits.
After completing all the preparations, I finally went to the musician. He told me a terrible legend. Once upon a time, there was a fierce warrior named Kojiro among the Straw Hat Ronin. He became almost invincible with his extraordinary swordplay. Later, he betrayed his own companions and started killing them one by one.
It is said that even the spirits of death were impressed by his strength and gifted him with a special armor that allowed him to fight almost tirelessly. He is no longer an ordinary man, but a living monster.
News has come that while the Straw Hat Ronin have joined forces with the Mongols, Kojiro has also returned. Not only that, but he has allied with five other fearsome Ronin. Their goal is to kill Jin Sakai.
However, Kojiro has one rule. He never attacks in groups. He tests his opponents through one-on-one duels. First, he must defeat five of his companions before he can fight Kojiro directly.
As soon as the story ended, the map showed the location of one of the five. I didn't delay any longer. I quickly left Umugi Cove and headed for a beautiful place called Spiral Lilies, where the first duel was supposed to take place.
As soon as I reached there, I saw my opponent waiting for me. The atmosphere was calm, but the air was filled with the excitement of war. As soon as the duel began, I realized that although he was a skilled fighter, I was no longer the same. My skills in perfect parry, dodge, and counterattack had improved greatly. On top of that, I had the power of my newly upgraded katana. Within a few minutes, I defeated him and threw him to the ground.
After the death of his opponent, Jin pays his respects and wishes for the peace of his soul. And from here begins the new Mythical Tales, “The Six Blades of Kojiro”. Four more Ronin must be found and defeated. Only after defeating them all will the awaited final battle come, where the legendary Kojiro will face off.
