I had dance lessons yesterday, and after my class, my tutor decided to give me a tour around the environment. I was pleased because I remembered, I will be getting pictures to share with Wednesday Walk community. I asked if I could take pictures, and he said, "no problem".

My University has more than one location, where different departments learn, and we tour the location called, Annex.

The first place here is the Faculty of Law in the University of Uyo. My Dance tutor said, Law faculty have the most money and that is why their building was considered and seen to be the most luxurious of all.

He showed me a point which he called, The Law Garden. I asked him why it was called a garden when there weren't any flowers. We both laughed.

The picture above clearly showed the tree that serves as a Canopy and I took a closer shot of the sitting arrangements. Perhaps, the reason it is called a garden is the comfort derived from sitting and studying under the tree.

We proceeded to the Law lecture Hall, and I took a shot of the classroom. We didn't go close enough because there were students writing examinations inside the hall.

When he showed me this part of the building, he made a striking comment. You know, this is the Department of Theatre Arts in our University, he showed his disapproval over how small it is.

He said, he imagined such a department to be a big place, housing all sorts of talented Arts and Artists. The reverse was the case because their hall was rather too small.

This point is called Paul Harris and my tutor, said, it was once a buzzing place, where students had access to lots of goodies, snacks, drinks, and food.

What we saw was a desolated place that was demolished for some reasons, he didn't say.

I took this shot to show you that although it has lost its touch, there were still people trying to make ends meet by using the space judiciously.

Over here, he showed me the Male Hostel, he mentioned that it was the only male hostel on campus. I asked why it is considered the only one because we have another male hostel on the other two campuses. He said, for this particular campus, they have just one. Whereas, the ladies have plenty Female hostels.

This one is a sub-section of our school Cafeteria. I remember asking him if the inside was as beautiful as those we usually see in movies. And he almost puked as he replied, "no way".

I took the front view of the cafeteria, and I sincerely wished the inside was beautiful. No, don't ask to see the view from the inside, school is yet to resume fully, so it's closed.

My dance tutor is in the department of Urban and Regional Planning, and this view is the back view of his faculty.

He was the one who took this shot. I asked him to do it because, during the tour, I found out he was good at taking pictures. He explained he had done photography once before he moved away.

As a result of this newfound knowledge, I told him, I wanted to get a shot that accommodated all three buildings alongside the water.

Yes, the water, I bet, you didn't notice it. I was more interested in capturing the water because I was wondering aloud, why my school management would allow such a beautiful place to be flooded and not do anything about it.

At this point, I listened to him complain about regional planning in the system. He explained that his course of study, Urban and Regional Planning, is very good because they are in charge of restructuring. They decide where a building should be and where it shouldn't.

He was angry because we build anywhere without supervision, which gives rise to floods. Writing this, I remember a desolated area in my community, stories have it that, it belonged to a wealthy man, but was flooded during a certain downpour. I don't remember if people died exactly, I heard it as a child.

Considering the loss of life in that vicinity, I am moved to agree with my tutor that it is a terrible thing, that our government hasn't given them enough spotlight so they could do their jobs properly.

Talking about bad building decisions, yesterday, I read lebah@lebah's post, where he mentioned, a city that decided to build on fertile lands. This decision took the farmers out of jobs and placed money in the pockets of the real estate folks instead.

Now, if I am not mistaken, this is the kind of scenario where an Urban and Regional Planning expert would have been acknowledged and asked to give proper building citations for that city.

I apologize for digressing, let's continue. At the end of the school duration for Arts students, they are always given projects to complete. This sculpture was designed by one of them.

I interpreted the work as a female experience during wars, but my teacher, said, it could also be an event of the situation we had in my country, The invasion of a school, and abduction of the Chibok girls by Boko Haram

I don't know which one of us was right, but watching the picture again after I took the shot, I felt he was more right than I was

Are you seeing the fight in the next photo? I didn't see the deer initially, it was my teacher that drew my attention to it. So, this picture could be a lion tearing the flesh off his prey for dinner.

We didn't think the design had been completed. Probably, the student who handles this work had difficulty finishing the design. I hope he graduated, though.

Wow! Who wants to have some fruit juice? I have one created below. Isn't it nice? Don't ask me if we truly have fruit extract products in my University because I have no idea....hehehhehe. I applaud the student who did this, he did a great job.

No! I didn't take this shot. My tutor did. It was so beautiful. The sunset reminded us that we have stayed out long in school and that it was time to go.

He used this shot to show me new hacks on my phone camera. And I was happy because I learned new dance steps, and photography hacks on the same day from the same human....yeah 馃拑馃拑馃拑

I will be implementing the hacks with subsequent shots that I take from henceforth.

Now, to end Wednesday Walk today, I'll leave you with a picture of the food I prepared yesterday before heading to my dance class. Look right here 馃憞馃憞

Yeah, beans and ripe plantain is my favorite meal, and yesterday, I decided to give myself a treat. I ate it with a yogurt drink we called Nutri Milk with my Sister.

That's all for Wednesday Walk, guys, see you next week. Enjoy the rest of your week.
