Standing? || Monomad

Hello black and white and street photography enthusiasts. Once again I bring you here a series of photographs of the historic center of this wonderful city, of the less touristic area, which urgently needs repairs of all kinds or demolitions in some cases. In a previous publication I was commenting on this place and sharing with you some images. This session is like a second part of that post. I had already told you how much I love taking pictures of this place because of the many contrasts of all kinds. With this photographic proposal I want to make my entry to the daily challenge #monomad.

From this series the image that captivates me the most is the surviving portal with its two lonely doors on a second level. This heroic piece of building, which has defied time and lack of maintenance and repairs is worthy of a good attempt at photography. On the other hand, who says trees can't grow in walls as if they were in the ground? Could it be that in bricks and concrete you can also grow crops?😳 In the meantime, the daily life here is passively becoming part of the environment, destroying itself nicely every day. See you!

Hola entusiastas del blanco y negro, y de la fotografía callejera. Una vez más les acercó acá una serie de fotografías del casco histórico de esta maravillosa ciudad, de la zona menos turística, la que necesita urgentemente reparaciones de todo tipo o demoliciones en algunos casos. En una publicación anterior estuve comentando sobre este lugar y compartiendo con ustedes algunas imágenes. Esta sesión es como una segunda parte de aquel post. Ya les había dicho de lo mucho que me fascina tomar fotos de este lugar por los muchos contrastes de todo tipo. Con esta propuesta fotográfica quiero hacer mi entrada al reto diario #monomad. De esta serie la imagen que más me cautiva es la del sobreviviente portal con sus dos solitarias puertas en un segundo nivel. Este heróico pedazo de edificio, que ha desafiado al tiempo y la falta de mantenimientos y reparaciones es digno de un buen intento de fotografía. Por otra parte, ¿quién dice que los árboles no pueden crecer en las paredes como si estuvieran en la tierra? ¿Será que en los ladrillos y el concreto también se puede cultivar? 😳 Mientras tanto la cotidianidad acá va formando parte pasiva del entorno, destruyéndose amablemente a cada día. ¡Nos vemos!
