Often times, people in the society let knowledge stop after the school years are over. Wether it is grade school or college or university, some feel like that's the end of learning as they know it. "I've been to school and have obtained the grade", they will say. They'll get simply satisfied in stopping just at the school years.
As a person you are ever-growing. You were made to learn and go on from level to level. Consider carefully what it is that you take part in. If you are involved in a profession or in the marketplace, there is always room to grow. The reason that there is room to grow is because the times are constantly changing.
This year makes my second season in the digital marketing industry. But, as the years go by there is always new information and new ways to do things that are created and brought to light. So, it doesn't matter whether I've been involved in digital marketing for two years or a hundred years, there will always be new ways of doing "marketing" as a whole. The foundational work might be the same, but someone will always come up with a new and better way to do it.
Access yourself and what you take part in. Ask yourself if there will be a new way created to do what it is that you do. If you were to say, "there is a pretty good chance that there may be a new way created", I would almost be inclined to say "yes, there will". If you take out time to study the industry you belong, you would probably find out that someone actually created an easy, more effective, or maybe more productive way of doing what you do.
Knowledge is valuable for you to obtain. As stated earlier, we are ever-growing. We should get all the knowledge that we can, but it's sad to say that some don't. Just think as to what you do and see if there is an even more effective way of doing it. If perhaps you are a supervisor, is there a more effective way to supervise? If you are an entrepreneur, is there a more productive way to run your business. If I'm doing what I love, can I do it better? These are the questions you ask yourself as regards your expertise. Well, Google has made the answers easier to retrieve.
Being better extends further than just inspirational talks. When you find the knowledge beyond what you already know and put it into action, that's when you realise that "A good life is guided by Knowledge"
