Must times in my quiet time, I wish I could draw back the hand of time if I am given the opportunity to take an educational course.
If I am given the opportunity to take one educational course, I will choose digital marketing and strategic communication. I have this belief that knowledge becomes more powerful when it can be used to solve problems, create opportunities, and help people. In the world we exist in, everything is going digital. Technology has become part of everyday life for everyone. Acquiring knowledge on strategic communication will really be a useful skill for me.
The main reason why I will go for this course is because anything in the world today involves communication in our work, running a business, promoting a product, etc. Our ability to communicate will really make a huge difference. On several occasions people have always struggled with how to capture attention. I will be honored if I can learn how to bridge the gap.
During this course I am willing to learn everything about communication, such as social media management, audience research, content creation, and so on. I will try my best to understand the strategy of every successful digital communication. One thing I know that will interest me so much is storytelling. If there is one meaning that people connect more, it is through storytelling; they connect more with stories than with information without context and emotion. Stories can be used to inspire, educate, and entertain. If the opportunity comes my way, I would love to learn how to tell stories that will make an impact in the lives of people.
Every skill I learn will also be of my own advantage; it will help me to improve my profession. I will apply what I learn to my work and personal projects, more especially when I am communicating with an audience. Instead of creating something just to be attractive, I will first think of the purpose behind it. The message I will pass, who are my target audience?
I am not acquiring the message just for myself; I will be of help to small businesses and individuals who don’t have money to hire expensive digital marketers and strategies communicators. There are thousands of people suffering just because they don’t know how to promote their products and services. Having the knowledge, I will help them promote their business and utilize the digital platforms well.
Another important way I would use the knowledge is by sharing it with younger people. I believe education becomes even more meaningful when it is passed on. Many young people spend a lot of time online, but not everyone understands how to turn digital platforms into something productive.
The sweet part is I will use the knowledge to continue growing. It will not be a course just to acquire knowledge; the course will be part of me.
If the opportunity to study strategic and digital marketing, I will see it as an investment because it will help me to communicate better.
