Unique Solar Furnace for industrial use. My goal was to create a solar collector furnace at a retail price of $1 pr watt. This unit is self powered, and works even when the grid power is down. Making it independent of the electric grid also results in no UL/CSA regulations or cost burdens. I also kept the weight to strength ratio down to avoid the requirement of structual additions to the building.
Result was an effective system that has a financial payback in a few years.
