Hello dear Hivers,

We are so excited to write our first introduction post on Hive. We are two friends with a desire to start a cooking blog and share our simple and healthy recipes with you 😊

First, meet Mila 😊
Mila is a passionate photographer who is especially interested in food art. She is a very experienced photographer in many fields. She is also experienced in photo retouching, she loves to play with colors, composition, and lighting in order to give the photo meaning, emotion, and authenticity. In other words, she creates story-telling photos with a unique perspective and style. Her style is dark mode, aesthetic photos, but the apartment where we’ll be cooking and shooting is very bright, so that will be a great challenge for Mila, to adapt her shooting style to the apartment lighting circumstances 😊 She is very interested in food art, and always fascinated by the way food can be presented and captured in a way that is both visually stunning and appetizing.
Here are some photos as an example:

Now meet Eli 😊
Eli is passionate about cooking and healthy food. She is so much into healthy food, experimenting with recipes and different flavors. She is a real healthy food gourmet, passionate about creating and consuming delicious meals that are good for our bodies. The ingredients she uses are usually fresh and she avoids processed foods. Her meals abound with a lot of herbs and spices, without relying on unhealthy additives. Her sweets are never made of added sugars. The sweeteners she uses are dates, bananas, stevia, maple syrup, and sometimes coconut sugar in small amounts. The dressings for her sweets are carefully chosen dark chocolates. In other words, she sees food as a source of pleasure, happiness, and wellness.

Here are some examples of the food she was already cooking in the past. And now we’ll stop talking and start working! 😊We can’t wait to share our recipes with all of you! And we hope you will find them useful and delicious.

We’ll be taking small steps first with our blog, so please be patient while we learn how to work on this team and how to get into the routine. One of the biggest challenges we'll be facing is the environment we’ll be working in. Eli is living in an apartment with 2 children, one of them is a 7-month-old baby, and the other one is a 2-year-old toddler. We are going to cook and shoot in the same environment with them 😊 So it will be fun, interesting, and very challenging for us to navigate through the cooking, shooting the food, and looking after the lil kiddos 😊

Lastly, we’d like to share our thoughts on healthy food with you. Well, for us, healthy food means a variety of foods providing the nutrients our body needs to function optimally. The nutrients our body demands are vitamins, minerals, healthy fats, fiber, and protein… Food with no sugars and salt added, only the natural sugars and salt that are already found in many fruits and vegetables, without unhealthy fats and minimally processed food.

We will be focusing on recipes that include a variety of vegetables, fruits, nuts, whole grains, seeds, low-fat dairy products, and meals. Most importantly, our aim is to create easy and fast recipes that anyone can prepare at home, with minimal effort.

We are excited to combine our skills and create food art, share our culinary thoughts with you, experiment with food recipes, and start our journey in this wonderful community.

And one lil photo of Eli and Mila
