Despite having just visited the grocer market last Friday, I was duly informed by the missus last night that our meat stockpile may not last the week, so I had to do an impromptu grocery run this morning.
Impromptu being a relative word here. Due to the government's Movement Control Order and the real risk of infection, we planned 12 hours ahead to make sure every grocery run counts and I should get as many necessities as I can to reduce the frequency I need to leave the house - A detailed shopping list is drawn up, sanitations plans are also discussed for when I am outside as well as decontamination procedures when I return to the house.
Yes it all sounds as silly as it is serious.
The crowd is noticeably smaller today compared to last Friday, but then again I reached about an hour earlier too compared to last Friday. Like last time, I quickly grabbed everything on the list and left as quickly as possible.
Lucky me, I also managed to grab a loaf of bread which seems to have became a precious commodity due to the acute shortage around the country.
I went a bit crazy on the hand sanitizers today, causing my skin to dry up. This is a side effect of over-washing your hands, which could cause skin problems in the long run. Make sure to be gentle when you rub your hands with soap / sanitizers, pat them dry instead of wiping with cloth (leave your skin slightly damp), and apply lotion / hand cream afterwards.
