I've spoken about why I write. I have indicated it is often because something is ceaselessly nagging at my mind much like a song you can't get out of your head. One thing that seems to silence that is if I write it down and share it. My mind then calms.
That doesn't explain the things that tend to trigger those mind worms...
I was just talking to my daughter about this. We are in the process of packing up our house so we can list it and hopefully move soon. I told her I was going to go read the news sites I tend to look at usually daily and then I'd get back to packing.
She said she needed to stop doing that because sometimes it can ruin her day and she finds herself venting to her husband.
I told her that I just turn it into a post and vent that way.
You see I do not look for things to post about each day. I did so many years ago but now I write when I feel the need to write. It can be my own thoughts. It can be questions I hope others here may have some ideas about. It can be an article or piece of news that I found particularly important. It can be a piece of music, and interview, or some other video.
I do tend to not like to do posts with videos without adding my own thoughts and such to it as then there is nothing from me in the content and other than the fact I shared a link I thought was cool/interesting to you there is nothing of me in that and that diminishes the value and is certainly not something worth any kind of up vote. (And man is that a major runaway sentence... I am leaving it for the humor of it rather than editing it into smaller bites)
I also write here because as you likely know by now I am very verbose and long winded. I'd feel mental claustrophobia if I attempted to exist on any platform such as twitter.
I am getting ready to go read the news now so I cannot rule out the possibility I may need to post again. I can just tell you that I have no plans to do so as I do not plan that way.
As we increasingly pack things my rooms are becoming bare and barren with only my computers and our TVs and such still present. I work from home and require my computer to do so. I have for over eight years. My computer will be one of the absolute last things to come down when we move.

This post is actually rather short compared to my normal fare... That may bother me. It won't surprise me if for that reason alone the news will trigger me into posting something else.
