if you have been following my post, you realize that our government is manipulating the naira, The currency is performing so badly and they needed to manipulate it sometimes to give the citizens some hope or give them the idea we can come back, but it is obvious now that there is no comeback and that is not going to happen any time soon which is one of the reasons why it doesn’t make any sense if you put all your money into the bank.
A friend messaged me a few days ago if I could lend him money, but I was unable to lend him simply because I did not have any cash with me even before the economy became so bad I’ve not been saving money into banks and I prefer investing it. we can all agree that investing has its own risk because the project might not be doing well and your money could down in value, but with all the risk involved, I’ve always chosen to invest my money and not put it into the bank, but I know some people may disagree and I know those who are only comfortable with putting their money where it is easily accessible like banks or buried somewhere, they can't cope with the stress of investing.
This might not work for everybody
this may not work for everybody, but I was able to always invest my money because I limit my expenses. my expenses are not higher than my monthly income and if you are the type that lives paycheck to paycheck it will be difficult for you to invest or save, it is always important for somebody like that to always have cash around because you don’t know where you might need it and emergency can pop up at any time but I just don't see any reason someone should keep a lot of money in the bank without using it. We all do this for security.
Most people who live on a paycheck can create a means for them to save and invest, but they choose not to, and also people who keep a lot of money in the bank also choose not to invest, but we can agree that it is always better our money work for us. unless we are planning to work for the rest of our lives. if you want your old age to be enjoyable fun and also to be free of stress we have to start planning now by letting your money work for us and also by investing early to retire early.
Plan it well
we have people who don’t invest and only save money in the bank and those people live happily, leave money in the bank works for them. They have so much money and they even leave some for their grandkids but these don’t always work for everybody. That is why whatever we do in life, we must make sure we plan it well, whether you choose to always leave your money in the bank or you choose to always invest your earned money at the end of the day it boils down to one thing which is not regretting in your old age and work while you should be resting.
