Panel 1 here actually is an example of an edit I had in mind that I unfortunately caught too late in the illustration process, and will have to pay Theresa extra money to remedy. I felt like the picture of the staircase (currently empty) was our last best chance to throw back to all the cultists who were frozen in time like you see in the previous pages.
It's kind of a difficult concept to convey via still images (the idea that some people are frozen in time while others are not) and I felt that panel 1 page 30 would be an opportunity to reinforce this concept to the reader as they go through this action sequence. As you'll see very soon, we also "sew" these cultists shut with black strings and a change to their color palette. We're at page 30, which means in hopefully 6 days we will be posting inks here, one of my favorite jumps in art quality during this whole process.
