Good day everyone and welcome to my first post and also, my first attempt at a weekly challenge. My name is Ricardo and I'm from Venezuela. I decided to participate in this challenge because Splinterlands left an impression on me, the more I know about it, the more I enjoy it and I feel like sharing this info so more people get to know about this game and this community, is the least I could do to give something back.
As its probably obvious by now, this is an all-out magic offense lineup, my summoner buffs the damage of every magic monster, and my three dragons are all magic monsters, they all have good survivability(because of their high health and also the flying ability), although this is a mana expensive strategy, with 28 mana I could only place 3 cards on the field plus my summoner.
Mana: 28
The conditions for the battle were Standard and it was a 28 mana battle with any splinter.
My opponent used the summoner Contessa L'ament, that reduces -1 to the opponent's ranged attacks, which had no effect on my strategy since all my dragons use magic damage. My summoner increased the magic damage of my monsters by +1. Undead Priest also lowered my dragon's health by -1. My Diamond Dragon lowered the speed of every enemy, making my dragons faster than any of the enemy monsters. My three dragons attacked and made short work of his tank, and his ranged monsters almost took out my Black Dragon, but one of his attacks missed, I got lucky.
My Diamond Dragon attacked first and beated the Undead Priest, making every dragon recover +1 health. Gold Dragon killed the Darkest Mage, and my Black Dragon attacked Twisted Jester and almost killed it, but it recovered +2 health, making it able to withstand the damage he took from the ranged monsters.
Gold Dragon attacked first and killed the Twisted Jester, and then the Diamond Dragon killed the Grim Reaper too, leaving only Mantoid on the first position, a ranged card that couldn't defend itself.
Diamond Dragon attacked first, destroying the last remaining card on the battlefield and granting me the victory.
It was a 3 vs 6 battle, but my cards were superior to my opponent's on this battle, since I attacked first and did enough damage to 1 hit most of them, he didn't stand a chance. Only thing that worried me, was my Black Dragon dying from the damage it took, but it managed to withstand all those injuries ^^.
I think the dragon splinter is a really powerful one, but they require lots of mana to summon, but in every high mana battle where I can, I use them because I feel they give me an edge over my opponent and I really enjoy fighting with them.
