This 23 Mana Battle Took an Unexpected Turn — Beefcakes + Dragon Breath Were the Challenging Rulesets

In low mana battles monster selection becomes a bit difficult and according to these rulesets you can make your strategy and make the best selection of your monsters. In low mana battles there is confusion because due to small mana capacity you have to pick monsters very carefully that match the rulesets and make a great combination.

In any low mana battle it is important that you first understand the ruleset properly and then select your monsters accordingly. If you do this your chances of winning will become much higher.

Today's 23 mana battle was very interesting and I got the opportunity to play this battle with two easy rulesets.

Before moving toward the battle and strategy first lets understand the rulesets what is explained in these rulesets and what strategy and monster combination I made according to them.

RULESET 1: BEEFCAKES

This is a ruleset where you can only select monsters with 5 or more health. And what does this Beefcakes ruleset do? It stops you from picking low health monsters and forces both players to select high health monsters.

Because of this ability monsters with 5 or more health are necessary because weak monsters cannot be used in this battle. You may have often noticed that this makes monster choices very hard in low mana battles.

According to this ruleset it is necessary to adopt a strategy where you select good monsters with 5 health and that must have good powers and abilities as well.

RULESET 2: DRAGON BREATH

This is a ruleset where monsters hit directly by magic or ranged attack get the Burning effect. And what does this Dragon Breath ruleset do? At the start of every round Burning has a chance to spread to next monsters and all Burning monsters lose 2 health.

Because of this Dragon Breath ability magic and ranged attacks become dangerous because they give continuous burning damage in every round.

According to this ruleset it is necessary to adopt a strategy where you use heavy magic or ranged attacks to burn enemy monsters and deal them with extra burning effect damage.

MY STRATEGY AND MONSTERS SELECTION

Keeping these two rulesets in mind what strategy did I adopt and which monsters did I select?

First of all I selected my Archon Marlai Singariel with +1 Magic ability. This means that all my allied monsters will get +1 magic power at the start of the battle because I had to plan my strategy according to the rulesets.

On the front line I selected Great Bear Druid which is a strong monster with good health to work as my front tank. It has also a melee and magic power. A kind of dual attack will continuosly deal heavy damages.

In the second position I selected Spitting Camel which is a ranged attacker with good health that can hit from behind while matching the Beefcakes ruleset as well.

ON THE BATTLEFIELD

When I looked at the enemy lineup on the battlefield it was also quite interesting. They had selected Port Guardian on the front line and Frostguard Warrior in the backline. It was nearly a close battle to happen.

The battle started with strong attacks coming from both sides. Because of the Dragon Breath ruleset ranged and magic strikes gave burning effects.

In Round 1 both sides made heavy attacks and health started going down from direct hits and burning damage.

In Round 2 the burning spread and continuous damage hit both teams very hard. My Great Bear Druid stayed strong on the front line while Spitting Camel kept attacking from behind.

In Round 3 both sides fought strongly until all monsters died at the same time because of continuous burning damage.

At the end of Round 3 the battle finished as a draw.

The main reason for this outcome was that the Dragon Breath ruleset gave continuous burning damage to both teams until no monster was left alive. If there was not this ruleset I must had won this battle because in the end I had 2 monsters that remain alived and from opponent only 1 monster remained.
