Card Background Information
| Edition | Chaos Legion |
|---|---|
| Rarity | Common |
| Element | Water |
| Attack | Melee |
| Abilities | Reach(level 1)/ Blind (Level 6)/ Backfire (Level 10) |
Card level & stats
Bronze max | LV3 - +1 Damage
Sliver max | LV5 - +1 Speed & +1 Health
Gold max | LV8 - +1 Speed & Gains Blind
Diamond and above | LV MAX - +1 Health & Gains Backfire
Cost per level (used prices at time of writing)
Seems to cost at least 0.067 per copy, Which is around the middle of all the common chaos legion card prices.
| League | Max Level - Copies needed | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Bronze max | LV3 - 14 copies | 0.938 usd. |
| Sliver max | LV5 - 60 copies | 4.02 usd. |
| Gold max | LV8 - 220 copies | 14.74 usd. |
| Diamond and above | LV MAX - 400 copies | 26.8 usd. |
Getting a level 3 copy is enough to reach the damage buff but getting a level 4 copy is needed if you wish to get back the HP point, level 7 seems to be the sweet spot if you want the blindness ability and the HP.
Getting the gold foil version if you just want the level 3 copy since it only cost 0.04 usd more than a level 3 regular foil version of it. however the regular foil version is better if you are planning for higher levels as the cost increase is not linear.
Battle rules
| Symbol | Rule Effect |
|---|---|
| All Monsters have the Divine Shield ability. | |
| Monsters with the lowest Speed attack first and have the highest chance of evading attacks. |
Total Mana : 56
Usable elements : Water, Life, Death and Dragon
With divine shield those units with blast or redemption would be nice to use, anything that can revive units will also be quite good to use since they get another charge of divine shield.
with reverse speed units that are slower would be better to use since they get to attack first.
Team Composition
| Card | Role | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| Summoner | Picked just for the armor buff the extra one point of speed would be a problem but from the last 5 battle of the opponent they seem to be using the same summoner so it would balance out. | |
| Main tank, Void | Chosen for its low speed and high attack stats with a decent amount of armor and HP, void also does help against those magic attacks that have a high chance of appearing | |
| Reach, Subtank, Star of the challenge | Having reach and high HP will be a great subtank and its speed is not that high so it would work fine. | |
| Magic Damage, Resurrect | One of the key units in this line up with its resurrect ability which will come in quite handy when combine with a unit with taunt since when the unit is resurrected they gain another charge of divine shield. | |
| Melee Damage, Sneak | with its sneak and low speed its one of the better cards to use in the reverse speed ruleset. | |
| Opportunity | High Damage and middle level speed so its still would work in the reverse speed ruleset, most important is its opportunity ability | |
| Taunt | When combined with the summoner which grants 1 point of armor and its high HP its one of the better taunt tanks, as well as the divine shield given from the rules. When resurrected its should have 1 point of armor and 1 point of hp with a divine shield which equates to blocking 3 additional attack or 2 if they are both magic attacks. |
Now on to the Battle
Round 1
Luckily I used a void main tank so it will take less damage from the attacks.
In the first round all the damage was taken by both team's taunt tanks and only the main tank fought each other with the reach units as well.
Round 2
Both taunt tanks were killed and resurrected this round but the difference in main tank can be seen as my main tank still has its armor while the opponent's main tank already started to lose HP
Round 3 & 4
Round 5 to The End
ending the battle with my team still have 4 units from the original 6 with only the main and taunt tank falling.
Strategy Talk
The strategy involved relied on the combo of the taunt tank and the resurrection ability, the divine shield did help as well since its another free damage negation. it worked well since all the attacks did not touch the weaker units due to the taunt and by resurrecting the taunt it allowed for more attacks to be negated.
Flying Squid get it to level 3 for the damage buff, get the gold foil version if all you are planning to get is the level 3 version for that gold foil focus point buff.
Thanks for the battle challenge curation team
