Preparing for Frontier ⚔️ : Buying My First Foundations Cards
As I embark with the new game that I played recently which is the Splinterlands, I also learned new things and getting to know more about of the game. I thought that it was hard to learn this game because it's been a long time since I play this kind of game.
I think I knew a couple of things now and it's kinda addicting thinking that winning more gives me an upper hand on getting more rewards at the end of each season, until the last season that you have played, you can get hefty rewards if you in a higher bracket.
Anyway, as I knew that I needed a couple of packs if I am going to play the game directly, I plan on getting on a shopping spree on a shop for cards so that I can start right away if I am going to buy cards that people sell in the market compared to buying a couple of packs that we don't know what kind of cards are in the packs.
As I went into the marketplace, there were lots of cards that was on sale. Some were expensive because they were being upgraded to a different tier (level) and there were some were in their original card that was on sale.
I bought cards that were in the rules on what is set in the frontier which is the foundations for the rules of the game, so I went to the market and chose the foundations cards on it because the other set of cards were not useful enough to choose from.
While getting into the foundations, I chose different cards randomly not knowing that each card has specifics and that's what I was wrong because I was picking all of the cheapest card on the market.
I didn't knew that depending on the element of the card will be the one that will be shown only to that element. When shopping yesterday, I just buy and buy and buy and not thinking what kind of element is that card is.
I just bought the cards that were on cheap, I bought them because I think they will become useful in the game itself and will be the one to make me win each of the game that I play in the frontier.
I bought a couple of cards using the DEC as the currency in the splinterlands. I used some of my Hive to swap or convert it into DEC and that DEC will be used to buy the cards in the market of Splinterlands.
I thought that I could spent a couple of Hive because there were expensive cards but it turns out that some of the cards were cheap and I could afford them, well, they were common and used as a starting cards for a low ranked player just like me. Except for those cards that were merge together that they were expensive and cards that were lower in mint that costs a lot of value.
