Greetings Coffee lovers! Hope the week has been brewing right each dripping day. Just now I came from a cafe with a friend/ past co-worker I haven't seen in a while and will probably not see for a long time...if ever again.

After a meeting with my past employer, I met up with Danielle at Cafe Fujinuma. I have been here twice before, pre-plandemic days, and the place used to be filled with young females that just entered the workforce. But today, there was only one customer dining by himself and he left a little after we arrived.

The Outdoor is nothing fancy but to be honest, if I did not look back at this picture I would not even realize it. Cafe Fujinuma sells beans from various countries and isn't just a cafe to sip some at. They have beans from all over the world: Kenya,Columbia, EL Salvador, Nicaragua, Ethiopia and Brazil and all are available on their BASE website.

The interior is pretty cozy, the simplicity, abundance of wood and various shades of coffee brown gives a relaxing feeling. The sunshine clock on the wall stands out against this simplicity and gives it a badge of uniqueness. Oh, the movie clipboard? Well, the owner of this cafe was an aspiring actor. He is a good looking dude and hence the young ladies that used to frequent this cafe. I like when store owners tell their stories through the decoration.

What She Got

Danielle ordered the fancy Cafe Latte with the heart in it, so cliche these days right? 😆 But still appreciated. It has become the standard and if your local cafe isn't doing that, they are not "instaby" ( worthy of being posted on instagram - that is actually a phrase here in Japan).

What I got

Well! The title said it all, but why did I go for the El Salvador drip? Yes! That is right, because they made Bitcoin legal tender. Before that I would have never looked at Coffee from El Salvador, sad but true. You see how accepting Bitcoin is more than just "accepting Bitcoin"? It is also marketing communication to everyone into crypto.

The staff was pretty cool about me taking her pic, well why wouldn't she be? After all, that means she/ the Cafe is "InStaby". But, little does she know that these pictures will never make their way on there via muah. Hmmmm What should we call HIVE worthy content?

We chatted about days gone by and current happenings in our work and life. It was weird seeing her after a year because we didn't realize it had been so long. But just sitting and talking face to face felt like we haven't done it ever because this is actually the first time we have talked without masks and the first time we have seen each other outside of work. And it all happened with a few words: "Hey, wanna get some coffee?".

Great seeing yah Danielle, all the best with the new work location and human relations.
