Hi there. In this short Pokemon TCG post I cover the card reveals of Nincada, Ninjask and Shedinja.
Nincada
Nincada is a Basic Grass attacker with 50 HP, one retreat cost and Fire weakness. The Scratch attack requires 1 Colourless Energy to deal 20 damage.
Ninjask
Ninjask is the Stage 1 evolution of Nincada. This has 80 HP, zero retreat cost and Fire weakness.
The U-Turn attack requires 1 Grass Energy and 1 Colourless Energy for 90 damage plus a Switch. It is a hit and run attack.
Ninjask's Cast-off Shell ability activates when you play this Pokemon from your hand to evolve 1 of your Pokemon. You have the option to search your deck for 1 Shedinja and put it onto your Bench. Then shuffle your deck.
Shedinja
Shedinja is the Stage 1 evolution of Nincada. The HP on this is really low for a Stage 1 Pokemon at 60HP. This makes Shedinja very vulnerable to Dragapult ex, and multiple Munkidoris.
The Fragile Shell ability activates when Shedinja is Knocked Out by damage from an attack from your opponent's Pokemon ex. The opponent takes no Prize cards for it. Opponents can bypass this ability by placing damage counters on it with the use of Dragapult ex, Munkidori or Dusknoir.
The Damage Beat attack requires 1 Psychic energy to deal 20 damage for each damage counter on the opponent's Active Pokemon. This type of punish attack sounds good in theory but in practice this attack is not that popular.
