Hi there. In this short post, I cover the topic of cave spaces. This is my first post in the Architecture + Design community. I do follow this community for good reads and learning about what is out there. There is an abundance of good posts here.

French Cave House
I first heard about a cave living space from the Youtuber Kirsten Dirksen. This Youtube video features a young couple in France transforming an old cave into a luxurious home/rental.
The cave home has an open kitchen in a big modern living space. Above the cave home is 8 metres of rock which allows for fast heating.
There is also a studio which used to be a cellar. This studio is only two rooms. One room for living and sleeping and the second room is a large bathroom area.
700 Year Old Cave House
Thirty-eight year old businessman Angelo Mastropietro has spent about over £160,000 in turning a 700 year old cave into his dream home. Angelo has done most of the work himself even though he was recently diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. In the video, Angelo mentions that he would spent about 1000 hours in breaking rock, cutting rock, burrowing rock. The rock house has a fireplace, kitchen, bedroom, a shower room with underfloor heating and even wifi.
Basketball Court In A Cave??!!
I have been following this British Youtuber named Stu who operates the channel named The China Traveller. One of his videos caught my eye. This video is named Most Amazing Basketball Court (inside a CAVE!).
In the countryside of the Guizhou province in China, there is a village that contains a full size basketball court inside a cave. According to the video, the villagers raised about 88 000 yuan for the cost of the cave. The cave's temperature is always 18 degrees Celsius regardless of the season. The seating capacity is not huge as it is meant for the villagers.
