Since the summer started, Boss#1's tendency to "not want to work" has intensified, haha. We are taking Fridays off during the summer, but since last Monday was a Civic Holiday, we had to work on Friday because taking both days off would leave us too far behind.
I wondered what "Civic Holiday" meant, and it turns out it's a day for the citizens…of course 😅 It seems that the first Monday of August is always a holiday. I wasn’t aware of it.
It had been a while since I worked on a Friday, but during this season, transits on Fridays are particularly crowded with tourists, so I understand how Boss#1 feels. Well, Boss doesn't have to commute in transit though... Both going to work and coming home, the place was packed with families on holiday. Days like these make you want to just stay home. The office is nice and cool with the air conditioning, but on days like these, you start to get fed up with everything, haha.
With Boss#1's suggestion, we decided to wrap up work early and go for an early dinner. However, it was a bit early and I wasn’t hungry yet, so I had a beer and a calamari appetizer. A beer after work is the best. Beer and deep fried food…Mmmm….cannot go wrong! 😆
The beer I had was an ale from Persephone Brewing... sorry, I can't remember the exact name 😅. The brewery is near the restaurant. This is the brewery that got me using mason jars for drinking beer
After I took a picture of my beer, Boss#1 asked me to take a picture of his beer because the sunlight was hitting it nicely, so I did, haha. Looking closely, it was in a Persephone Brewing glass. It was delicious.
Boss#1's boss (his wife) was drinking wine. If it were a little while ago, I might have ordered wine too... I even thought about getting a Caesar... and while I was thinking that, it was already time for dessert. The sweet-toothed Boss#1 and I immediately ordered gooey caramel chocolate cake, and we were shocked when it came out. The portion was just too much.
So, after enjoying some tasty beer, I headed home on the ferry and bus, slightly tipsy.
Well, tomorrow is Monday already... let’s try our best to survive until next Friday.

夏になってから、ボス１号の「仕事しなくない」に拍車がかかり、笑 夏限定の金曜日は休みにするが続いていましたが、先週は月曜日がCivic Holidayでお休みだったので、金曜日も休みにすると仕事が進まないため出勤となりました。
Civic Holidayってなんだと思ったら市民の日…なんですね。市民の日と言われてもピンときませんが、毎年８月の第一月曜日が休日になっているようです。
久しぶりに金曜日の出勤となりましたが、この季節の金曜日は特に観光客が多くて、ボス１号の気持ちが分かってしまいました。まあ～ボスには通勤というもはありませんけどね…行きも帰りも家族連れでいっぱいでした。こんな日は家にいるのが良いですね。勤め先はエアコンが効いているので涼しいくて良いですが、こういう日は、色々がだんだん嫌になってきます、笑
と、、、ボス1号の提案で、仕事を早めに切り上げて、ちょっと早いディナーに行くことになりました。
早い時間だったのでお腹がすいていなくて、カラマリのアペタイザーとビールで乾杯🍻
仕事のあとのビールはいいですね。

この日、いただいたビールは Persephone Brewing のなんちゃらエール…ごめんなさい。名前覚えてません😅
このレストランの近くにあるブルワリーのビールです。私がメイソンジャーでビールを飲むもとになったブルワリーです。
自分のビールの写真を撮ったあと、ボス1号が俺のにはいい具合に太陽が当たってるから撮れと言うので撮りました、笑
よく見たらPersephone Brewingのグラスでした。
美味しかったです。
ボス1号のボス(奥さま) はワインを飲んでいました。少し前の私だったらワインを頼むかもな…シーザーもいいな…なんて考えていたら、デザートの時間になりました。
甘党のボス1号と私は即答でキャラメルなんちゃらチョコレートケーキを注文し、出されたものを見てビックリ。
この量はちょっと無理でした。
ということで、美味しいビールをいただいて、ほろ酔いでフェリーとバスを乗り継いで帰った金曜日でした。
明日はもう月曜日…皆さんなんとか乗り切りましょう。
