Hello AOA!
How are you all? Today I’m sharing my flavorful recipe of Mutton Biryani, made with tender and fresh mutton pieces, fragrant basmati rice, potatoes, and aromatic national spices. I used National Biryani Recipe Mix to make the process easier and tastier as well while still getting that delicious, traditional biryani taste. The result was amazing and as a pakistani one plate of biryani is all what we want. 😋
So lets get to the recipe
Rice 5kg
Mutton 5kg
National Biryani Masala 4 pack
Salt 1.5 tbsp
Red chilli powder 1.5 tbsp
Coriander and cumin powder 1.5 tbsp
Mind 2-3 cups
Freash coriander
Green chili accordingly
Potatoes 2 kg
Water
Oil or ghee
Tomatoes 3-4 kgs
Prepare the mutton: Heat oil in a large pot as the ingredients wers in large quantity so i used a very big pot and fry the sliced onions until golden brown you can also use blended onions
Add the mutton and cook until it changes color and becomes nicely browned and then add ginger garlic paste in the top of it
Add tomatoes or paste green chilies and National Biryani Recipe Mix. Mix well and cook until the oil separates from the gravy
Add whole spices one by one
Let the mutton and spices merge into each other and fry thenAdd water, cover and cook until the mutton becomes tender. Add potatoes during cooking so they become soft and flavorful.
Prepare the rice: Wash and soak the 5kg of basmati rice, then add into muttongravy until it is about 70–80% cooked. Then drain and cook the whole on dum for 20-30 minutes
Gently mix the layers and serve hot with raita and salad and serve the yummy mutton biryani
I really enjoyed making this biryani and served to the whole family because the National Biryani Recipe Mix made the seasoning much easier while still giving the dish a rich and traditional homemade taste. The mutton came out tender, the rice stayed fluff and perfectly cooked, and the aroma filled the whole kitchen. Definitely a recipe I’d make again for family gatherings and special occasions and biryani is something special for special people
