How is everyone doing. Today I have bought another recipe for hive family. This recipe is a very famous Pakistan and Indian Snack often found on street corners and bakeries. You can make it at home by following few simple steps. Everyone has its iwn recipe of Dahi ballay and here is mine. This is also pronounced as Dahi barray, dahi means yogurt and ballay they lentil ball.
Yogurt 1/2 kg
Gram Flour 1 cup
Salt 1 teasp
Chilli powder 1teas
Baking Soda a pinch
Water 1/2 cup
Oil
Chaat Masala
Sugar
Imli chutney (tamarind sauce)
Put oil on medium flameflame
Add little from the mixture to test if the oil is ready for frying
5.Add first batch of the fritters in oil and they will turn into puffy balls
Yummy and sweet dahi ballay is ready to serve. Some people like to have onion and cubber cubes in the yogurt mixture which can also be done and remember to let it cool in refrigerator before serving. Its worth it when little cold. Tamarind sauce xan also be made at home, you can make and freeze for next use as well.
Dahi Ballay also known as dahi barray is one of my favorite Pakistani traditional dishes, especially during the summer. I like the soft, fluffy balls absorb the creamy yogurt, making itrefreshing and delicious. Preparing them at home is very easy, but the results are always worth the effort. Seeing my family members enjoying it makes the experience even more special. Homemade Dahi Ballay are fresh and made with love, which makes them taste far better. I always enjoy making and serving this classic dish on family gatherings and different occasions. Do give it a try
